Records, 2020-2021. Dirt, found materials, graphite on paper

I started these works in March of 2020. During the pandemic lockdowns, I began to think about domestic activity as a part of my studio practice. Work, including household chores, was one of the few things that marked the passage of time, and I began to think of domestic activity as a part of my studio practice. I recorded my activities by collecting and preserving debris as if they were scientific specimens, labeling each square with date, time, and the source of the debris. These are documents of labor made into ritual.
