dream poem
i saw this poem in a dream last night. i had all the words when i woke up: crisp black serif font on aged paper, author and year published. as soon as i woke up i was supposed to write it down. it was short- just 2 or 3 lines, all across the page, no line breaks. i forgot lines 2 and 3 first, and then i tried to recall the author, even just a part of the name, and then i forgot the first line, but if you asked me i think i could still tell you the cadence: Du-dun dun du-du-dun du-dun du-dun.
