this morning the asphalt i drive on
looks new because it is black
because it is wet because
it has rained overnight but the sun
is out on my drive and i
saw a black bird, flying erratic
in front of an orthodox church
with copper green domes but then
no, it’s just a plastic bag but then, a bag is
a function and plastic is the flesh,
a bird is a function and flesh is
the flesh, no
A flash of light stayed on the road
waving back and forth, a sign from
god, I saw many today.
